Event: Speed Dating!

The lights are low, and there are several long rows of two-person tables set up in the largest dining room. That's right: it's time for speed dating!

Pick a seat, any seat. You'll have five minutes to talk to the person across from you about anything and everything and possibly hit it off before the bell rings and you'll move one seat to the right to start the process all over again. Hopefully, by the end of the night, you'll have found at least one person you'd like to get to know better. Get a drink from the bar and feel free to flag down a server for some snacks, loosen those lips, and get to talking. Good luck!

[Post will be open to anyone: feel free to start your own subthread or to tag into other people's subthreads. I'll also start up a bar thread for pre/post event (though it'll need a bartender, if anyone wants to volunteer). Feel free to ping me if you have any questions and have a good time!]

Well, now, any ol' way works. Sometimes I enjoy the weather, sometimes I like me a good book; cold juice or maybe some coffee, dependin' on the day...

Other days I run out an' go planehoppin'. When there's nothin' else on the table, it's a good time to explore the universe.

And that was supposed to be "ideal," but sentence still manged to work |D;;;

I go to the local cafe to have a drink and something to eat. While I'm there I may play cards or read.

[Suddenly a deck of cards appears, and she shuffles them in the air]

[She fans them out with a flick of her wrist.]

The Six of Spades says that you are currently making small improvements and changes, but it appears a relationship separation is on the horizon by that Six of Diamonds.

[Gumi taps her left eyebrow, where her diamond marks are, then gathers her cards.]

[...Now that's interesting. "That lovely place of ours," huh? She's implying that they share one, which suggests she recognizes him, but he's not sure he's seen her before. Thinking of Vocaloid City allows him to place her face easily enough, if not her identity, and now he realizes why she looked familiar to him before.

The Ten of Clubs is on the money, of course, but it's worth noting he's met enough new friends through past planar jaunts (voluntary and not) that there's no telling exactly which event and acquaintence they're referencing. In the Dressing Room alone, he's met quite a few people to his liking: Doc Len, Matagi, Shooter, lil' lady Miko, Meiko and her sister, that one kidlike Len who stuttered a lot, the little LenPanda...

His heart flutters just a little when he thinks of Matagi, and he wonders how she's doing. Saul's not what you'd call in love with her, but he definitely likes her, denseness and all.

Of course, the DR also had at least a couple of people that he didn't like so much, but hey. Can't win 'em all.


Six of Spades is much less specific, but hey, improvements are good. Can't argue with that, right?

But that last one...yeah, that last one gives him pause. Relationship separation. What did that mean, exactly? Separation through what? Not something he likes thinking about, especially during a vulnerable time with a few dangerous possibilites present. His little spat with Meiko couldn't have been that serious... Maybe it meant they were due to fight again? Maybe. They hadn't exactly resolved anything before the argument was called off.]

Time t'get up already, huh. Heh, too bad - I was havin' fun. [standing up from the chair now!] I guess it wouldn't be fair if I hadja all to m'self.
