The Villain Party Meme

Guess what? The Villains' Annual Convention is in town. It's a time for villains of all walks of life to meet, compare evil schemes, ~~steal~~ take notes on one another's inventions, and generally be dastardly together. The panel schedule's done for the day, so it's time to head to the local eatery for food, drinks, discussion, and maybe a bit of mayhem.

Fortunately, there's a restaurant very close to the convention center: the White Top.

If You're A Villain:

Come in, sit down, converse! Find a table, head to the bar, talk about today's panels or your latest foolproof scheme to conquer the world, whatever suits your fancy. This is your convention, after all. A word of warning, though: the manager of this restaurant has hired some additional security. Get too rowdy and you might find yourself in a fight.

If You're A Hero, A Neutral, Or Just Not Villainous:

You can still play too! I suggest you dabble a bit on the AU side and work in the restaurant - a busy night will always need servers, bartenders, hosts, and cooks. There's also added security, if that's more your speed. Otherwise, if you were ballsy enough to get a table in this end of town during the Villains' Con...good luck? Just take the fighting outside.

[To be honest, Rarity is nervous. There have been multiple large events during her time as front end manager of this restaurant, yes, but none quite like this. This one had the potential to get rough very quickly, and she wanted to head off as much of that as she could right now.]

As you all know, there is a convention in town this weekend, which means we'll likely have some...interesting patrons. I do ask that everyone remain professional and polite, no matter how trying your tables get. If things get to be a bit too much to handle, come get me or another manager and we will take care of it. If it escalates beyond that...well, I'm sure you've noticed the new faces at this meeting. I've hired a bit of additional security for this weekend - go on, raise your hands - thank you - and they will take care of any...unfortunate developments that will hopefully not arise.

Should we all get through this weekend with minimal incidents, drinks are on me.

[Irene has just left the Femme Fatales: Avoiding Death panel, and has decided to come up to the bar for a drink, because who wouldn't need it after THAT.]

Lasciel has managed to turn the restaurant's outdoor seating area into a pool and poolside lounge/bar. Fallen angel party, yes?]

That time of year again, huh? Let's hope we don't have a repeat of any of last year's incidents.

[Despite how little he's trying to show it, Aphrodi's nervous too. He's seen some of the uglier things that could happen, and... well. Drinks will definitely be needed after the weekend's through, that's for sure, whether they're on Rarity or not.]

[Ansem is in a rather good mood, of course. He'd successfully run a panel on possession and manipulating your host to the desired end (that being the aforementioned possession), and now he's simply kicking back and relaxing. He's not here to drink, but for the atmosphere. He can be sociable himself when in a good mood, after all. Though he's not here for food or drink--can't eat human food, after all. He'll be trying to take up as little room as possible so those actually here for that can get it.]

[Divine's picked a rather out-of-the-way table to seat himself, and he's currently entertaining himself with some sort of book. Occasionally, he'll take a sip or two from the glass of water he has.

He won't object if anyone decides to join him.]

[In all honesty, Judas Liz has little interest in the convention, nor in this dinner party. For her, the whole affair was merely a business call; she knew she would have a share of clients here. After all, sticking out a thumb for jumps to other dimensions was no easy matter - or cheap - now that the Champion had commandeered Vyce's ship. Hell, if she was lucky, maybe she could get a ride along with a job.

She sat by herself at the edge of the bar, Frostmourne strapped to her back. She kept tabs on the activity behind her in the corner of her eye, but kept an air of indifference. It never did well to show too much interest in this atmosphere.]

((OOC: For those who don't know her canon, Judas Liz is an assassin. So, if you need anything from the lady with a big sword~:D))

[Bradley may not look like a villain at first glance, the man is just sitting at a table drinking tea and watching the crowd. The panel on how to stay alive despite facing normally fatal odds went rather well actually and now he's unwinding while watching the rest of the place.]

[Hoof on face. Why oh why did he have to bring up last year's fiasco?]

Yes. That would be a good thing to hope for. I have banned the responsible parties, which should help.

[He brings a hand to one temple and sighs.] It was certainly an... unforgettable experience. One that I sorely wish wasn't.

Hopefully this year we won't have to deal with a rowdy bunch... [And just for that, he's reaching over and rapping his knuckles against the nearest wooden surface.] The extra security will certainly be a huge help.

Eeeeeyup.

[As was always Big Macintosh's contribution to the conversation. He was a little hesitant to take this gig; he didn't like having to resort to violence. But Rarity was...really persistent. Maybe his brawn would be enough to keep things under control, at least.]

[That was a smokin' hot panel!]

[No, literally. Megamind's had to take the cape off his mantle and stamp it the edges of it where it set on fire after the pyrotechnics demonstration. Once he's sure it's out, he passes it over to one of the brainbots trailing behind him.]

Woo, that was fun! God, I need a drink and something to eat...

[ Time to find a table and rub elbows, swap ideas, network. Team ups were for chumps, he always said, but there was never any harm in finding another villain to rob, dupe, or otherwise get hornswaggled so he could have something even BIGGER in store for his nemesis later...]

[Ahhh... A meeting among like-minded fellows, and everything's gone (mostly) smoothly. Technical difficulties seemed to strike at the worst possible times, really. However, it was better than Light's foolish boy crashing things.

Wily's currently seated at one of the central tables, waiting for his food to show. Hopefully it won't be too much longer...]

*Anyone who looked at the ten-year-old girl now sitting at a table along one wall of the restaurant, sipping tea in a formal fashion, would probably think her out of place. Especially if they'd seen her having to explain to the management that, yes, her ID that listed her as around a millenium old from Wales was, in fact, legitimate.

However, most of the audience here tonight, being a con crowd, would at least have heard of the panel she helped to host on "Optimal use of Mind Control in your schemes". She'd respectfully declined to run a panel on "Controlling powers that can turn you insane if you don't control them", mostly by virtue that a certain boy in her canon had paid good blood for learning that. You had to have an appropriate payscale for this sort of thing.

Also fortunately, no one had caught on that the 'hypnotized maids' who had accompanied her the entire day were actually just classmates who were using an illusion trick or two to look the part. Well, the hypnotized part. No way Evangeline Anastasia Katherine McDowell was letting anyone fake a maid outfit in her presence.

Talking them into going to a different restaurant for the evening hadn't been difficult. After all, talking business tended to be boring to anyone who wasn't involved in that business. And tonight? The vampire intended to be all business.

... And tea. Who would've guessed a pony restauranteur would have so many different styles?*

Mind if I take a seat, Doctor?

A little conversation between intellectuals would do me some good.

*Thankfully, ditching the Sorcerer-Lich Xykon was easy; Redcloak simply pointing out that he wanted to get a decent meal was enough for the being with no taste buds to not follow.*

[Have a fellow off to the side, quietly observing the others in the establishment and sipping at a cup of tea periodically. He seems content to keep to himself, but he's watching for the best chance to rile up some poor soul...]

... As if today weren't bad enough.

*Lina Inverse had been more or less conscripted into hosting six different panels on the general theme of "Giant explosions." Her sheer reputation as one of the greatest causes of destruction on her world had gotten her invited to what she would argue is the worst possible place for someone as beautiful, mighty, and pure of heart as her to be.

But then she'd acquiesced. Eventually. And now here she was, tired, hungry, and staring at Xellos.*

How'd that panel with that Hazama guy go?

[The idea of her hosting said panels may or may not have stemmed from a suggestion planted by a particular priest. After all, no one knows giant explosions better, and with her reputation, Lina would fit right in - from a certain point of view, of course.]

Ah...let's just say that as much as opposites attract, things that are alike tend to repel each other, and leave it at that.

[Moran has just ducked out of a "right hand man" panel, and a great lot of good that panel had done. Most of those men were lucky enough to have commanding officers who filled them in on the entirety of the plan before ordering them to strike. Well, bully for them.

Feeling cross with his own situation, he took a seat at he bar and ordered himself a stiff drink. God, did he need it.]

Uuuuh-Huh.

[She has time between the "Ladies of the Supernatural" and "Antagonists: One Step Below or a Whole Different Villain?" panels so a drink sounds like a marvelous idea. Hopefully the bar has something fresh.]

[Sasuke is beginning to wonder if this job is worth the hassle every time this convention comes around. But, maybe he'll find something nice to write about for the school paper. That and the paycheck is the only bright side to all of this.]

If anyone from my school comes, send them home. Different group, but the results'll be the same.

[His school is just crazy like that.]

[Now there's a face that Xemnas can't help but recognize. How much he may truly care for Ansem is anyone's guess, but he figures he can at least manage to be passingly polite. Besides, it not like he doesn't have time to spare for a brief conversation.]

"Hi!" The bartender was there instantly, beaming at Judas as she spun a bottle of something green around on her nose. Technically, Pinkie wasn't supposed to be tending bar. Actually, she wasn't meant to be within 100 yards of alcohol, but there she was nonetheless. "What can I getcha?"

Judas resisted the urge to facepalm right then and there. It just had to be pink ponies, didn't it. But she kept her cool, hardly making eye contact as she replied.

"Gin and tonic."
